2525 An Act establishing a tax credit for veteran license plates.
2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2727 of the same, as follows:
2828 1 SECTION 1. Section 6 of Chapter 62 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020
2929 2Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding after subsection (w) the following subsection:-
3030 3 (x) There is hereby established a credit for residents who possess a veteran license plate
3131 4issued pursuant to paragraphs 7 through 18, 26, 28, and 29 of section 2 of chapter 90 of the
3232 5General Laws, as so appearing.
3333 6 The amount of such credit shall be equal to any amount paid, in a given tax year, for a
3434 7registration fee, special plate fee, or renewal fee of any veteran license plate issued pursuant to
3535 8paragraphs 7 through 18, 26, 28, and 29 of section 2 of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as so
3636 9appearing.
3737 10 SECTION 2. Section 1 shall be effective for tax years beginning on or after January 1,
3838 112023.
