28 | 28 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |

30 | 30 | | 1 Section 24 of Chapter 10 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, |

31 | 31 | | 2is hereby amended by inserting at the end of the first paragraph the following:- |

32 | 32 | | 3 “Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the name, address or other |
---|
33 | 33 | | 4identifying information of any holder of a winning lottery ticket shall not be deemed public |
---|
34 | 34 | | 5records of the commission and shall not be subject to section 10 of chapter 66. The commission |
---|
35 | 35 | | 6shall not publicly disclose the name, address, or other identifying information of any holder of a |
---|
36 | 36 | | 7winning ticket or require any winning ticket holder to perform any public act in connection with |
---|
37 | 37 | | 8the awarding, payment, or collection of prize moneys where a holder of a winning ticket |
---|
38 | 38 | | 9provides a written request to the commission. Upon a claim, the commission shall inform, in |
---|
39 | 39 | | 10writing, the winning ticket holder of the right to refuse public disclosure of name, address, or |
---|
40 | 40 | | 11other identifying information as well as the right to refuse to perform any public act in |
---|
41 | 41 | | 12connection with the awarding, payment, or collection of prize moneys.". |
