2828 An Act relative to removing the term hearing impaired from the general laws.
2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 SECTION 1. Section 196 of chapter 6, as so appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is
3232 2hereby amended by striking out, in line 17, the words “hearing–impaired” and inserting in place
3333 3thereof, the following words:- “deaf or hard of hearing”
3434 4 SECTION 2. Section 23 of chapter 32A, as so appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is
3535 5hereby amended by striking out, in line 17, the words “hearing impaired” and inserting in place
3636 6thereof, the following words:- “deaf or hard of hearing”
3737 7 SECTION 3. Section 1 of chapter 129, as so appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is
3838 8hereby amended by striking out, in line 20, the words “hearing–impaired” and inserting in place
3939 9thereof, the following words:- “hard of hearing” 2 of 2
4040 10 SECTION 4. Section 4 of chapter 151B, as so appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is
