2828 An Act relative to drowsy driving awareness.
2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 SECTION 1. Chapter 6 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is
3232 2hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof, the following new section:-
3333 3 Section 15 CCCCCC. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart the
3434 4second week of November as Massachusetts Drowsy Driving Prevention Week and
3535 5recommending that such week be properly observed as a period of special attention to the need
3636 6for public awareness and action relative to the problems of drowsy driving and driver fatigue.
3737 7For purposes of this section “drowsy driving” or “driver fatigue” shall mean driving while being
3838 8sleepy, tired, drowsy, or exhausted.
