| 28 | 28 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | of the same, as follows: |

| 30 | 30 | | 1 Section 2E of Chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, |

| 31 | 31 | | 2is hereby amended by inserting after subsection (d) the following subsection:- |

| 32 | 32 | | 3 (e) The registrar shall furnish, upon application, to the owners of private passenger motor |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 4vehicles distinctive registration plates which shall display on the face a design indicating support |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 5for the arts. Such a design shall be selected through a contest to be judged by the Massachusetts |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 6Cultural Council or their designees. There shall be a fee of not less than $50 dollars for such |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 7plates in addition to the established registration fee for private passenger motor vehicles, which |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 8shall be payable at the time of registration of the vehicle and at each renewal thereof. The portion |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 9of the total fee remaining after the deduction of costs directly attributable to the issuance of such 2 of 2 |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | 10plates shall be transferred within ninety days of receipt thereof to the Massachusetts Cultural |
|---|
