28 | 28 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
---|
29 | 29 | | of the same, as follows: |
---|
30 | 30 | | 1 SECTION 1. Section 3 of Chapter 90C of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby |
---|
31 | 31 | | 2amended by striking clause A(6)(a)(i), beginning on Line 119, and inserting thereof the |
---|
32 | 32 | | 3following:- |
---|
33 | 33 | | 4 “(i) fails to request a noncriminal hearing within twenty days of the date of the citation |
---|
34 | 34 | | 5plus such grace period as the registrar shall allow, or” |
---|
35 | 35 | | 6 SECTION 2. Said section 3 of Chapter 90C is hereby further amended by striking the |
---|
36 | 36 | | 7second paragraph of clause A(6)(a)(ii)(ii), beginning on Line 146, and inserting thereof the |
---|
37 | 37 | | 8following:- |

38 | 38 | | 9 “Unless such notice is sooner cancelled by the registrar, in the case of an operator |
---|
39 | 39 | | 10violation, such violator's operators license, learners permit or right to operate, or in the case of an 2 of 2 |
---|
40 | 40 | | 11owner violation any registration of a motor vehicle issued to such violator by the registrar, shall |
---|
41 | 41 | | 12be deemed suspended by operation of law on the date indicated on the notice mailed by the |
---|
42 | 42 | | 13registrar, and shall remain suspended until reinstated by the registrar.” |

43 | 43 | | 14 SECTION 3. Said section 3 of Chapter 90C is hereby further amended by striking clause |

44 | 44 | | 15A(6)(b), beginning on Line 157, in its entirety. |

45 | 45 | | 16 SECTION 4. Said section 3 of Chapter 90C is hereby further amended by striking the |
