| 29 | 29 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |

| 30 | 30 | | of the same, as follows: |

| 31 | 31 | | 1 SECTION 1. Section 6A of chapter 115 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 2Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:- |

| 33 | 33 | | 3 As used in this section and in sections 6B and 6C of this chapter, the term “reservist'' |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 4shall mean a person who has served not less than 180 days in the Marine, Army, Air Force or |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 5Coast Guard reserves and who is a resident of the commonwealth. |

| 36 | 36 | | 6 SECTION 2. Section 6B of said chapter 115, as so appearing, is hereby amended by |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 7inserting after the second paragraph the following paragraph:- |

| 38 | 38 | | 8 A reservist who has suffered a service-connected disability shall be paid $2,000 annually |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | 9in 2 equal payments on August 1 and February 1. The parents and surviving spouse, provided 2 of 2 |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | 10that surviving spouse does not remarry, of a reservist who suffered a service-connected death |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | 11shall be paid $2,000 annually in 2 equal payments on August 1 and February 1. |

| 42 | 42 | | 12 SECTION 3. Section 6C of said chapter 115, as so appearing, is hereby amended by |

| 43 | 43 | | 13striking out, in lines 5 and 6, the words “six B” and inserting in place thereof the following |
