| 29 | 29 | | Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | establish forthwith a sick leave bank for an employee of the Worcester County Sheriff's Office, |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | of the public convenience. |

| 33 | 33 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | of the same, as follows: |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Worcester County |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 2Sheriff's Office shall establish a sick leave bank for Matt Blazes, an employee of the office. Any |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 3employee of the office may voluntarily contribute 1 or more sick, personal or vacation days to |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 4the sick leave bank for use by Matt Blazes. If Matt Blazes terminates employment with the office |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | 5or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, any remaining time in the sick leave bank shall be |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | 6transferred to the extended illness leave bank. Sick leave bank days shall not be used for |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | 7absences unrelated to the illness or disability that necessitated the establishment of the sick leave |
|---|
| 42 | 42 | | 8bank as determined by the office. |
