| 29 | 29 | | Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | establish forthwith a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the Massachusetts Department of |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | Transportation, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | immediate preservation of the public convenience. |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | of the same, as follows: |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Massachusetts |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 2Department of Transportation shall establish a sick leave bank for Jason Barone-Cichocki, an |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 3employee of the department. Any employee of the department may voluntarily contribute 1 or |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 4more sick, personal or vacation days to the sick leave bank for use by Jason Barone-Cichocki. If |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | 5Jason Barone-Cichocki terminates employment with the department or requests to dissolve the |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | 6sick leave bank, any remaining time in the sick leave bank shall be transferred to the extended |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | 7illness leave bank. Sick leave bank days shall not be used for absences unrelated to the illness or |
|---|
| 42 | 42 | | 8disability that necessitated the establishment of the sick leave bank as determined by the |
|---|
| 43 | 43 | | 9department. |
