2727 An Act establishing a sick leave bank for Erin Keel, an employee of the Executive Office of
2828 Health and Human Services.
2929 Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to
3030 create a sick leave bank for Erin Keel, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law,
3131 necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
3232 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3333 of the same, as follows:
3434 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Executive Office of
3535 2Health and Human Services shall establish a sick leave bank for Erin Keel, an employee of the
3636 3department. Any employee of the department may voluntarily contribute 1 or more sick, personal
3737 4or vacation days to the sick leave bank for use by Erin Keel. Whenever Erin Keel terminates
3838 5employment with the department or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, any remaining time
3939 6in the sick leave bank shall be transferred to the extended illness leave bank. Sick leave bank
4040 7days shall not be used for absences unrelated to the illness or disability that necessitated the
4141 8establishment of the sick leave bank as determined by the department.
