2626 An Act relative to retirement benefits for Thomas Chiocca.
2727 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2828 of the same, as follows:
2929 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule or regulation to the
3030 2contrary, Thomas Chiocca shall be deemed eligible for the alternative superannuation retirement
3131 3benefit enacted by Section 2 of Chapter 114 of the Acts of 2000, known as Retirement Plus, so
3232 4called, provided that the member pays into said retirement system an amount that is
3333 5commensurate with what he would have paid under retirement plus, minus the contributions that
3434 6the member has already paid into the retirement system for said period, plus regular interest; and
3535 7provided further, that the Board shall then recalculate Thomas Chiocca's superannuation
3636 8retirement allowance using the formula for said alternative superannuation retirement benefit,
3737 9and he shall then be deemed entitled to said alternative superannuation retirement benefit
3838 10retroactively to the date of his superannuation retirement.
3939 11 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
