| 22 | 22 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | of the same, as follows: |

| 24 | 24 | | 1 Chapter 22 of the General Laws us hereby amended by adding the following section:- |

| 25 | 25 | | 2 Section 23. The department of fire services in cooperation with the division of |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | 3occupational licensure and code enforcement officers authorized under chapter 148A, shall |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | 4collect data on written notices of code violations and fines arising from violations of, or non- |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | 5compliance with, chapter 148 or any rules or regulations issued under said chapter 148 including, |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | 6but not limited to: (i) the failure of an individual to maintain hot work training certification; (ii) |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | 7performing hot work without hot work training certification; and (iii) failure to comply with hot |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 8work permit requirements. |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 9 The department shall develop, operate and maintain a database containing the |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 10information required to be collected under this section. The database shall: (i) be publicly |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 11accessible on the department's website; and (ii) allow for an automated notification system to |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 12alert affected property owners and insurance companies. |
