| 27 | 27 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | of the same, as follows: |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | 1 SECTION 1. Section 1 of chapter 7 of the charter of the town of Provincetown, which is |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | 2on file in the office of the Archivist of the Commonwealth as provided in Section 12 of chapter |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 343B of the general laws, is deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following:- |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 4 (a) The chief of police and the director of public works shall reside within 45 driving |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 5miles of the town of Provincetown and shall meet the requirements of this section within six |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 6months of assuming office. |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 7 (b) The fire chief shall be a resident of Provincetown, Truro or Wellfleet and shall meet |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 8the requirements of this section within six months of assuming office. |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 9 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage. Or to take any other action |
