O'Connor and Patrick Joseph Kearney for legislation relative to establish a sick leave bank for Mary Katherine Sheehan, an employee of the trial court. The Judiciary. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Third General Court (2023-2024) _______________ An Act establishing a sick leave bank for Mary Katherine Sheehan, an employee of the trial court. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the trial court shall establish a 2sick leave bank for Mary Katherine Sheehan, an employee of the trial court. Any employee of 3the trial court may voluntarily contribute 1 or more sick, personal or vacation days to the sick 4leave bank for use by Mary Katherine Sheehan. If Mary Katherine Sheehan terminates 5employment with the trial court or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, any remaining time 6in the sick leave bank shall be transferred to the trial court paid leave bank. Sick leave bank days 7shall not be used for absences unrelated to the illness or disability that necessitated the 8establishment of the sick leave bank as determined by the trial court.
