1212 An Act establishing a sick leave bank for Mary Katherine Sheehan, an employee of the trial
1313 court of the commonwealth.
1414 Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to
1515 to establish forthwith a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the trial court of the
1616 commonwealth, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the
1717 immediate preservation of the public convenience.
1818 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
1919 of the same, as follows:
2020 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the trial court of the
2121 2commonwealth shall establish a sick leave bank for Mary Katherine Sheehan, an employee of the
2222 3trial court. Any employee of the trial court may voluntarily contribute 1 or more sick, personal
2323 4or vacation days to the sick leave bank for use by Mary Katherine Sheehan. If Mary Katherine
2424 5Sheehan terminates employment with the trial court or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank,
2525 6any remaining time in the sick leave bank shall be transferred to the trial court paid leave bank.
2626 7Sick leave bank days shall not be used for absences unrelated to the illness or disability that
2727 8necessitated the establishment of the sick leave bank as determined by the trial court.
