11 | 11 | Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to | |
12 | 12 | to establish forthwith a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the trial court of the | |
13 | 13 | commonwealth, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the | |
14 | 14 | immediate preservation of the public convenience. | |
15 | 15 | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority | |
16 | 16 | of the same, as follows: | |
17 | 17 | 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the trial court of the | |
18 | 18 | 2commonwealth shall establish a sick leave bank for Mary Katherine Sheehan, an employee of the | |
19 | 19 | 3trial court. Any employee of the trial court may voluntarily contribute 1 or more sick, personal | |
20 | 20 | 4or vacation days to the sick leave bank for use by Mary Katherine Sheehan. If Mary Katherine | |
21 | 21 | 5Sheehan terminates employment with the trial court or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, | |
22 | 22 | 6any remaining time in the sick leave bank shall be transferred to the trial court paid leave bank. | |
23 | 23 | 7Sick leave bank days shall not be used for absences unrelated to the illness or disability that | |
24 | 24 | 8necessitated the establishment of the sick leave bank as determined by the trial court. |
