| 26 | 26 | | Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | protect access to healthcare, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | the immediate preservation of the public health. |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | of the same, as follows: |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law or any provision of chapter 111 of the general |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 2laws or any regulation promulgated thereunder to the contrary, the department, as defined under |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 3section 1 of said chapter 111, is hereby authorized and directed to continue, extend, or otherwise |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 4empower to remain in full force department license number 2114, issued by said department |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 5November 6, 2022, in order to maintain the provision of health care services, including, but not |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 6limited to, the provision of chemotherapy, radiation, radiology, and other forms of life-saving |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 7health care and therapies and studies, that are provided, as of the date of this act, in the towns of |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 8Norwood and Foxborough in department facilities 21PH, known as Norwood Hospital Cancer |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | 9Center, 22LD, known as Norwood Performance Therapy, 299F, known as Foxboro, and any |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | 10other such facilities operating under said license. |
