| 29 | 29 | | Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | which is to establish forthwith a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the Norfolk County |

| 31 | 31 | | sheriff's office, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | immediate preservation of the public convenience. |

| 33 | 33 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | of the same, as follows: |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Norfolk County sheriff’s |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 2office shall establish a sick leave bank for Jonathan Turner, an employee of the sheriff’s office. |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 3Any employee of the sheriff’s office may voluntarily contribute 1 or more sick, personal or |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 4vacation days to the sick leave bank for use by Jonathan Turner. If Jonathan Turner terminates |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | 5employment with the sheriff’s office or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, any remaining |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | 6time in the sick leave bank shall be transferred to the extended illness leave bank. Sick leave |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | 7bank days shall not be used for absences unrelated to the illness or disability that necessitated the |
|---|
| 42 | 42 | | 8establishment of the sick leave bank as determined by the sheriff’s office. |
