Kennedy and Jack Patrick Lewis that provisions be made for an investigation and study relative to climate change staffing. Environment and Natural Resources. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Third General Court (2023-2024) _______________ Resolve for a climate change staffing study. 1 Resolved, notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Office of 2Climate Innovation and Resilience, the Department of Environmental Protection, and 3representatives of the twelve Massachusetts regional planning agencies shall conduct a study to 4determine the appropriate staffing levels and resources necessary to carry out climate change 5response planning and strategy at the regional level. This study will have a particular focus on 6ensuring that resources for these efforts are made available for both rural and urban communities 7at appropriate levels. 8 The agencies shall file a report of their findings and recommendations with the clerks of 9the house of representatives and the senate, the chairs of the house and senate committees on 10ways and means, and the house and senate chairs of environment, natural resources, and 11agriculture, not later than March 31, 2024.
