| 26 | 26 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | of the same, as follows: |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, $185,000,000 shall be |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | 2transferred from the General Fund to the Cape Cod and Islands Water Protection fund, |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | 3established under section 19 of chapter 29C of the General Laws, for costs associated with |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 4planning and implementing water pollution abatement projects for the purpose of complying |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 5with title 5 of the state environmental code in any watershed designated as a nitrogen sensitive |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 6area by the department of environmental protection; provided, that all funds allocated by this act |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 7shall be distributed proportionally to municipalities according to the number of watersheds |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 8designated as nitrogen sensitive areas within the borders of each municipality. Water pollution |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 9abatement projects may include funding expended to support the community septic management |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 10loan program to provide subsidies or loans to qualified borrowers. |
