2626 An Act maintaining a statewide car seat recycling program.
2727 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2828 of the same, as follows:
2929 1 SECTION 1: Chapter 21H of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official
3030 2Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after section 7 the following section:-
3131 3 Section 8. (a) The department shall maintain a program to provide for recycling of child
3232 4passenger restraints, as defined in section 1 of chapter 90.
3333 5 (b) The department shall be authorized to: (i) implement state, local, or regional child
3434 6passenger restraint recycling programs; (ii) accept applications from municipalities for grants
3535 7and to award grants to assist in the development or establishment of local and regional child
3636 8passenger restraint recycling projects; and (iii) to partner or contract with private organizations to
3737 9assist in the development or establishment of a child passenger restraint recycling program.
