An Act to enhance oral health through public health dental hygienists.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Section 51 of chapter 112 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 
2Official Edition, is hereby amended in the third paragraph by inserting after the fourth sentence 
3the following sentences:- 
4 No medical malpractice insurer shall refuse primary medical malpractice insurance 
5coverage to a licensed dentist on the basis of their entry into a written collaborative agreement 
6with a public health dental hygienist. A dentist who enters into such a collaborative agreement 
7and the dentist's insurer shall be indemnified from claims made against said public health dental 
8hygienist.
9 SECTION 2. Section 193U of chapter 175 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is 
10hereby amended in the second paragraph by inserting after the first sentence the following 
11sentences:– 2 of 2
