2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 SECTION 1. Chapter 66 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition,
3232 2is hereby amended by adding a new section:
3333 3 Section 22. Public institutions of higher education, as set forth in section 5 of chapter
3434 415A, and municipally owned institutions of higher education, shall not be required to produce
3535 5education records, including information designated by the public institution of higher education
3636 6as directory information, as defined under the Family Educational and Privacy Rights Act, 20
3737 7U.S.C. section 1232 (g). This section shall not apply to requests from federal, state, or municipal
3838 8agencies.
