An Act relative to housing court jurisdiction.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Section 3 of chapter 185C of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020
2edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in the first sentence in paragraph (1), the following:-
3“arising in the city of Boston in the case of that division, in the counties of Berkshire, Franklin,
4Hampden and Hampshire in the case of the western division and within the cities and towns
5included in the Worcester county division, northeastern division and southeastern division, in the
6case of those divisions”
7 SECTION 2. Section 3 of chapter 185C of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby
8amended by striking out, in the second sentence in paragraph (1), the following:- “the city of
9Boston, in the case of that division, Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire counties, in
10the case of the western division and within the cities and towns included in the Worcester county 2 of 2
11division, northeastern division and southeastern division, in the case of those divisions” and
12adding in place thereof:- "those divisions"
13 SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon passage.
