29 | 29 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
---|
30 | 30 | | of the same, as follows: |

31 | 31 | | 1 SECTION 1. Section 19 of chapter 32B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 |
---|
32 | 32 | | 2Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following new subsection:- |
---|
33 | 33 | | 3 (k) Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, an eligible municipal |
---|
34 | 34 | | 4employee who subscribes to the commission’s health insurance coverage within the first 10 days |
---|
35 | 35 | | 5of the employee’s first day of employment shall receive such coverage effective as of: (i) their |
---|
36 | 36 | | 6first day of employment; or (ii) the date on which the employee subscribes to the coverage, |
---|
37 | 37 | | 7whichever is later. 2 of 2 |

38 | 38 | | 8 SECTION 2. The group insurance commission shall promulgate regulations necessary to |

39 | 39 | | 9implement subsection (k) of section 19 of chapter 32B of the General Laws, as inserted by |
