31 | 31 | | 2investigation and study relative to expanding the eligibility of the tuition and fee waiver program |

32 | 32 | | 3established in section 19 of chapter 15A of the General Laws to clients of state programs |

33 | 33 | | 4inclusive but not limited to the departments comprised of the members of the special |

35 | 35 | | 6 The Commission shall consist of the following members or their designees: |

36 | 36 | | 7 the Chair of the Board of Higher Education, who will serve as chair; |
---|
37 | 37 | | 8 the Secretary of the Executive Office of Health and Human Services; |
---|
38 | 38 | | 9 the Secretary of the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities; |

39 | 39 | | 10 the Commissioner of the Department of Developmental Services; |
---|
40 | 40 | | 11 the Commissioner of the Department of Mental Health; 2 of 2 |

41 | 41 | | 12 the Commissioner of the Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing; |

45 | 45 | | 16 The Commission shall: (i) identify programs with clients inclusive but not limited to the |

47 | 47 | | 18tuition and fee waiver program established in section 19 of chapter 15A of the General Laws; (ii) |

48 | 48 | | 19compile data concerning the number and cost of new clients identified by the commission to |

49 | 49 | | 20become eligible for the tuition and fee waiver and; (iii) identify possible sources of funding for |
---|
50 | 50 | | 21the expanded tuition and fee waiver program. |

51 | 51 | | 22 All appointments shall be made not later than 30 days after the effective date of this |
---|
52 | 52 | | 23resolve. |

53 | 53 | | 24 The Commission shall submit its findings and recommendations for legislation to the |
---|
54 | 54 | | 25Clerks of the Senate and the House of Representatives no later than January 1st, 2027. |
