| 27 | 27 | | Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to |

| 28 | 28 | | immediately remove unnecessary burdens from vulnerable social equity businesses before the |

| 29 | 29 | | end of the license exclusivity period, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience. |

| 31 | 31 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |

| 32 | 32 | | of the same, as follows: |

| 33 | 33 | | 1 Section 4 of Chapter 94G of the General Laws is amended by inserting, at the end of the |

| 34 | 34 | | 2section, the following subsection:- |

| 35 | 35 | | 3 (m) The commission shall not prohibit the delivery of cannabis by licensed delivery |

| 36 | 36 | | 4operators or couriers to any municipality in the commonwealth nor to any establishment that |

| 37 | 37 | | 5provides overnight lodging services to tourists and visitors, including but not limited to hotels, |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 6motels, and resorts. |
