27	27	An Act relative to prejudgment interest rates.
28	28	Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
29	29	of the same, as follows:
30	30	1 SECTION 1. Section 6B of chapter 231 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022
31	31	2Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 5 and 6, the words “at the rate of
32	32	3twelve per cent per annum” and inserting in place thereof the following:- calculated at a weekly
33	33	4average one-year constant maturity treasury yield, as published by the Board of Governors of the
34	34	5Federal Reserve System, for the calendar week preceding date of the judgment.
35	35	6 SECTION 2. Section 6C of said chapter 231 of the General Laws, as appearing in the
36	36	72022 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 4 and 5, the words “at the rate
37	37	8of twelve per cent per annum” and inserting in place thereof the following:- calculated at a
38	38	9weekly average one-year constant maturity treasury yield, as published by the Board of
39	39	10Governors of the Federal Reserve System, for the calendar week preceding date of the judgment. 2 of 2
40	40	11 SECTION 3. Said section 6C of said chapter 231 is hereby further amended by striking
41	41	12out, in line 8, the words “at the rate of twelve per cent annum” and inserting in place thereof the
42	42	13following:- calculated as set forth above.
