26	26	An Act prohibiting body size discrimination.
27	27	Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
28	28	of the same, as follows:
29	29	1 SECTION 1. Section 89 of chapter 71 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022
30	30	2Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “identity,”, in lines 98 and 349, in
31	31	3each instance, the following words:- “height or weight,”.
32	32	4 SECTION 2. Section 5 of chapter 76 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022
33	33	5Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “identity,”, in line 11, the
34	34	6following words:- “height or weight,”.
35	35	7 SECTION 3. Section 12B of said chapter 76 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is
36	36	8hereby amended by inserting after the word “identity,”, in line 196, the following words:-
37	37	9“height or weight,”.
38	38	10 SECTION 4. Section 3 of chapter 151B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022
39	39	11Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “identity,”, in lines 17 and 64, in 2 of 3
40	40	12each instance, the following words:- “height or weight, unless for the purposes of compliance
41	41	13with any established state, federal, or industry safety standard,”.
42	42	14 SECTION 5. Section 4 of said chapter 151B, as so appearing, is hereby amended by
43	43	15inserting after the word “identity,”, in lines 3, 187, 202, 210, 221, 230, 264, 291, 298, 309, 359,
44	44	16367, 377, 477, 488, 493, 500, 633, 644, 655, 821, and 831 in each instance, the following words:-
45	45	17“height or weight, unless for the purposes of compliance with any established state, federal, or
46	46	18industry safety standard,”.
47	47	19 SECTION 6. Section 2 of chapter 151C of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022
48	48	20Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “race,”, in lines 5 and 18, in each
49	49	21instance, the following words:- “height or weight,”.
50	50	22 SECTION 7. Section 2A of said chapter 151C, as so appearing, is hereby amended by
51	51	23inserting after the word “race,”, in lines 9 and 15, in each instance, the following words:- “height
52	52	24or weight,”.
53	53	25 SECTION 8. Section 2 of chapter 151E of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022
54	54	26Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “sex,”, in lines 14 and 22, in each
55	55	27instance, the following words:- “height or weight, unless for the purposes of compliance with
56	56	28any established state, federal, or industry safety standard,”.
57	57	29 SECTION 9. Section 92A of chapter 272 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022
58	58	30Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “identity,”, in line 10, the
59	59	31following words:- “height or weight, unless for the purposes of compliance with any established
60	60	32state, federal, or industry safety standard,”. 3 of 3
61	61	33 SECTION 10. Section 98 of said chapter 272, as so appearing, is hereby amended by
62	62	34inserting after the word “identity,”, in line 3, the following words:- “height or weight, unless for
63	63	35the purposes of compliance with any established state, federal, or industry safety standard,”.
