Whipps for legislation to establish a department of workplace and consumer safety within the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission. Cannabis Policy. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Fourth General Court (2025-2026) _______________ An Act relative to the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission forming a department of workplace and consumer safety. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 Section 17 of chapter 94G of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, 2is hereby amended by adding the following subsection:- 3 (c) The commission shall establish a department of workplace and consumer safety. The 4department shall be responsible for investigating workplace safety including, but not limited to, 5air quality and first responder access. The department shall also be tasked with ensuring 6consumer safety by compiling data related to mold testing and reporting said data to the 7commission.
