| 34 | 34 | | 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary the salaries of members of the |

| 35 | 35 | | 2United States Coast Guard who are residents of the Commonwealth shall be paid by the |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 3Commonwealth during the so-called federal government shut-down. The funds for such |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 4payments shall be paid from an account to be recommended by the Governor and determined by |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 5the committees on Ways and Means. |

| 39 | 39 | | 6 Upon the conclusion of the so-called federal government shut-down, the Commonwealth |

| 40 | 40 | | 7shall seek reimbursement from the federal government for the cost of all such payments made to |
