An Act relative to municipal publication of zoning by-law procedures.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Section 32 of chapter 40 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 
2Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word ‘‘town”, in line 36, the following 
3words:- or posted for a period of no less than 14 days on the town’s municipal website. 
4 SECTION 2. Said section 32 of said chapter 40, as so appearing, is hereby further 
5amended by inserting after the word “newspapers,”, in line 43, the following words:- or posted 
6for a period of no less than 14 days on the town’s municipal website. 
7 SECTION 3. Section 5 of chapter 40A of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby 
8amended by inserting after the word “newspaper”, in line 140, the following words:- on a 
9municipal website. 
10 SECTION 4. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, prior to 
11providing any notice required pursuant to section 32 of chapter 40 of the General Laws or section 
125A of chapter 40A of the General Laws via the municipal website of the town, the selectboard or  2 of 2
13town council of the town shall vote to accept the provisions of this act authorizing notice via the 
14municipal website. Upon acceptance by the town of the provisions of this act authorizing notice 
15via the municipal website , the town clerk shall file with the Attorney General written notice of 
16the town’s acceptance of the provisions of this act authorizing notice via the municipal website.
