2828 An Act relative to increased availability of opioid antagonist medication.
2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 Chapter 94C of the General Laws, as appearing in the most recent edition, is hereby
3232 2amended by adding the following new section:-
3333 3 Section 19B3/4. (a) The department shall issue regulations requiring each agency
3434 4and board of the Commonwealth to (1) acquire and maintain opioid antagonist medication; and
3535 5(2) train employees on an annual basis on the usage of such medication.
3636 6 (b) The department shall issue nonmandatory guidance to private employers on (1)
3737 7acquiring and maintaining opioid antagonist medication; and (2) training employees on an annual
3838 8basis on the usage of such medication.
