2929 An Act promoting radon testing.
3030 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3131 of the same, as follows:
3232 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the
3333 2department of public health shall promulgate regulations to require that, subject to appropriation,
3434 3all child care programs, as licensed or authorized by the department of early education and care,
3535 4and public schools undergo routine radon testing. Testing schedules, documentation of testing,
3636 5standards for acceptable radon levels and plans for mitigation of unacceptable levels of radon
3737 6shall be determined, and made public, by the department of public health within 1 year of the
3838 7enactment of this bill.
