2727 An Act relative to medical parole.
2828 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2929 of the same, as follows:
3030 1 Subsection (b) of section 119A of chapter 127 of the General Laws, as appearing in the
3131 22020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence:- An incarcerated
3232 3person may only submit a petition for medical parole once per year or if there is a substantial
3333 4change in their medical status, whichever is more frequent; provided, that where a petition is
3434 5based on a substantial change in medical status, the petition may be denied reconsideration prior
3535 6to the notification of victim of victim’s family, if the superintendent, sheriff or commissioner
3636 7determines that there has not been a substantial change in status warranting reconsideration.
