| 29 | 29 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | of the same, as follows: |

| 31 | 31 | | 1 SECTION 1. There shall be established a special legislative commission to study the |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 2costs and feasibility of allowing time served as an emergency medical technician, call firefighter, |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 3and police dispatcher to count for creditable service. |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 4 SECTION 2. The commission shall consist of: the chairs of the joint committee on public |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 5service, who shall serve as co-chairs of the commission; 1 member appointed by the speaker of |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 6the house of representatives; 1 member appointed by the president of the senate;1 member |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 7appointed by the minority leader of the house of representatives; 1 member appointed by the |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 8minority leader of the senate; the secretary of administration and finance or their designee; the |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | 9president of the fire chiefs association of Massachusetts or their designee; and the president of |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | 10the police chiefs association of Massachusetts or their designee. 2 of 2 |

| 41 | 41 | | 11 SECTION 3. The commission shall submit its report, along with any recommendations, |

| 42 | 42 | | 12to the clerks of the house of representatives and the senate no later than 1 year after the passage |
