| 31 | 31 | | 1 SECTION 1. Section 20 of chapter 32 of the General Laws is amended by inserting at |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 2the end of suddivision (4 7/8E) the following new subdivision:- |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 3 (4 7/8F) A surviving spouse who is receiving a retirement allowance from a contributory |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 4retirement system established under the provisions of sections one to twenty-eight, inclusive, |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 5shall be entitled to vote in the election of the third and fourth members serving on the board of |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 6such contributory retirement system. |

| 37 | 37 | | 7 SECTION 2. Paragraph (h) of section 19 of chapter 34B is amended by inserting at the |

| 38 | 38 | | 8end of the ninth sentence thereof the following words:- and surviving spouses who are receiving 2 of 2 |
