| 29 | 29 | | ensure all employees of the Commonwealth are given the proper pension in which they earned, |

| 30 | 30 | | therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation |

| 31 | 31 | | of the public peace. |

| 32 | 32 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |

| 33 | 33 | | of the same, as follows: |

| 34 | 34 | | 1 SECTION 1. Paragraph (f) of subdivision 2 of section 5 of chapter 32 of the general laws, |

| 35 | 35 | | 2as appearing in the 2018 official edition, is hereby amended in line 211 by adding after the word |

| 36 | 36 | | 3“law,” the following: “arises for a member otherwise subject to this paragraph where the member |

| 37 | 37 | | 4has a final separate period of creditable service of thirty-six consecutive months or sixty |

| 38 | 38 | | 5consecutive months, and which period was last immediately preceded by a period of creditable |
