| 30 | 30 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | of the same, as follows: |

| 32 | 32 | | 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding and general or special law to the contrary, Felicia |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 2O’Connor, the surviving spouse of John Bernard O’Connor, a retired state police officer, who is |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 3currently receiving a surviving spouse retirement allowance, shall be entitled to a recalculated |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 4surviving spouse retirement allowance. The recalculated surviving spouse retirement allowance |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 5shall be equal to that which she would have received had John Bernard O’Connor been allowed |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 6to elect the Option C retirement allowance prior to his death. |

| 38 | 38 | | 7 SECTION 2. The amount of the recalculated surviving spouse retirement allowance in |

| 39 | 39 | | 8section 1 shall apply retroactively to the date of death of John Bernard O’Connor. |
