2525 An Act relative to retirement benefits.
2626 Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to
2727 authorize certain retirement benefits, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law,
2828 necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding sections 65C and 65D of chapter 32 of the General Laws,
3232 2or any other general or special law to the contrary, Mary McCabe, associate justice of the
3333 3Haverhill district court, may name her daughter Anna McCabe as her survivor beneficiary, in
3434 4lieu of a spouse.
3535 5 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect as of October 29, 2023.
