2828 An Act relative to injured and incapacitated state-employed police officers.
2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 SECTION 1. Section 7 of chapter 4 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014
3232 2Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following new paragraph:-
3333 3 “Sixtieth “Police officer”, “policeman”, or “permanent member of a police force”, shall
3434 4include without limitation, any police officer appointed by the University of Massachusetts,
3535 5Environmental police, Massport police, and campus police officers of the state colleges and
3636 6universities.
3737 7 SECTION 2. Section 94 of chapter 32, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting
3838 8after the words “Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority,” the following words:- or of the 2 of 2
3939 9University of Massachusetts police department, Environmental police, Massport police, and
4040 10campus police officers of the state colleges and universities.
4141 11 SECTION 3. Section 111F of chapter 41of the General Laws, is hereby amended by
4242 12inserting after the word:- “General Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport, and members
4343 13of the Massachusetts military reservation fire department, for the purposes of this section the
4444 14Massachusetts Port Authority and Massachusetts military reservation shall be fire districts,” the
4545 15following:- The provisions of this section shall also apply in all aspects to any University of
4646 16Massachusetts police officer, Environmental police, Massport police, and campus police officer
4747 17of the state colleges and universities
