| 33 | 33 | | 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary, all |

| 34 | 34 | | 2Public Safety Dispatchers or Public Safety Telecommunicators shall receive the same internal |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 3benefits as First Responders. For the purpose of this paragraph, " Public Safety Dispatchers or |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 4Public Safety Telecommunicators" means an individual employed by a public safety agency, as |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 5the initial first responder, whose primary responsibility is to receive, process, transmit, or |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 6dispatch emergency and nonemergency calls for law enforcement, fire, emergency medical, and |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | 7other public safety services by telephone, radio, or other communication device, and includes an |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | 8individual who promotes from this position and supervises individuals who perform these |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | 9functions. No change shall be made to such Telecommunicators' compensation and pension |

| 42 | 42 | | 10benefits. |
