| 35 | 35 | | 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law or rule or regulation to the |

| 36 | 36 | | 2contrary regulating the maximum age of applicants for appointment as firefighter, Javier Vargas |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 3of the City of Haverhill, shall be eligible for appointment to the position of firefighter in the City |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 4if he meets all other requirements, in which case he shall be eligible for certification and |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | 5appointment to the fire department of the City of Haverhill. |

| 40 | 40 | | 6 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage. |
