An Act authorizing Brittany Sproule to take the civil service examination for the position of
firefighter in the city of Haverhill notwithstanding the maximum age requirement.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law or rule or regulation to the
2contrary regulating the maximum age of applicants for appointment as firefighter, Brittany
3Sproule of the City of Haverhill, shall be eligible for appointment to the position of firefighter in
4the City if she meets all other requirements, in which case she shall be eligible for certification
5and appointment to the fire department of the City of Haverhill.
6 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
