[Local Approval Received.] The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Fourth General Court (2025-2026) _______________ An Act allowing the town of Williamstown to expand financial eligibility for senior property tax exemption. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 The Town of Williamstown, by vote of a town meeting, is hereby authorized to increase 2the amounts of the gross receipts and whole estate, real and personal, limitations as set forth in 3clauses 41, 41(b), and 41(c) of section 5 of chapter 59 of the General Laws, in excess of the 4limitations established by statute, including but not in excess of the so-called 'circuit breaker' 5state income tax credit limit determined by the commissioner of revenue for the purposes of 6subsection (k) of section 6 of chapter 62 of the General Laws for married persons filing jointly, 7regardless of the taxpayer's marital status.
