2626 An Act relative to the electronic filing of certain forms used in property valuation.
2727 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2828 of the same, as follows:
2929 1 SECTION 1. Chapter 59 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after
3030 2section 52C the following new section:-
3131 3 Electronic filing requirements
3232 4 Section 52D. Any form, return or document required or permitted to be filed by the
3333 5owner or lessee of any real or personal property under this chapter, including sections 5, 5C, 29,
3434 638D, 38F, 59 or 61A shall be filed with or transmitted to the board of assessors in such manner,
3535 7format and medium, including electronic, as the board of assessors shall from time to time
3636 8prescribe. Failure by the owner or lessee, without reasonable cause, to submit the filing in the
3737 9manner, format and medium sought by the board of assessors shall not be deemed to have been
3838 10filed. Reasonable cause shall include reasons beyond the control of the owner or lessee and good
3939 11faith attempts to comply.
