| 27 | 27 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | of the same, as follows: |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | 1 SECTION 1. Chapter 59 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | 2section 52C the following new section:- |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 3 Electronic filing requirements |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 4 Section 52D. Any form, return or document required or permitted to be filed by the |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 5owner or lessee of any real or personal property under this chapter, including sections 5, 5C, 29, |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 638D, 38F, 59 or 61A shall be filed with or transmitted to the board of assessors in such manner, |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 7format and medium, including electronic, as the board of assessors shall from time to time |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 8prescribe. Failure by the owner or lessee, without reasonable cause, to submit the filing in the |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 9manner, format and medium sought by the board of assessors shall not be deemed to have been |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 10filed. Reasonable cause shall include reasons beyond the control of the owner or lessee and good |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | 11faith attempts to comply. |
