2727 An Act designating Domestic Workers' Rights Day.
2828 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2929 of the same, as follows:
3030 1 SECTION 1. Chapter 6 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section
3131 215TTTTT, the following section:—
3232 3 Section 15UUUUU. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart the
3333 4sixteenth day of June as Domestic Workers’ Rights Day, recommending its observance by the
3434 5public to honor all domestic workers who work in private homes and in recognition of
3535 6Massachusetts’ historic enactment of basic labor standards in the Domestic Workers’ Bill of
3636 7Rights and recommending that said day be observed in an appropriate manner by the people.
