2626 An Act relative to the responsible sale of alcoholic beverages.
2727 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2828 of the same, as follows:
2929 1 Section 15 of Chapter 138 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition,
3030 2is hereby amended by adding after the sixth paragraph, the following new paragraph: --
3131 3 A Section 15 licensee and the Section 15 licensee’s employees shall complete a training
3232 4program every three (3) years that includes all of the following: (1) Instruction on the statutes
3333 5and rules that govern the off premises sale of beer, wine, ready to drink mixed alcoholic
3434 6beverages, and intoxicating liquor in this state; (2) Instruction on preventing the illegal retail of
3535 7beer, wine, ready to drink mixed alcoholic beverages, and intoxicating liquor to persons under
3636 8twenty-one years of age; (3) Instruction on not selling beer, wine, ready to drink mixed alcoholic
3737 9beverages, and intoxicating liquor to intoxicated individuals; and (4) Instruction on preventing
3838 10second party sales of beer, wine, ready to drink mixed alcoholic beverages, and intoxicating
3939 11liquor that may reasonably result in persons under twenty-one years of age securing alcoholic
4040 12beverages.
