| 27 | 27 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | of the same, as follows: |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | 1 The department of energy resources shall, in consultation with the department of |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | 2environmental protection, conduct a review and analysis of the renewable portfolio standard |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 3program in the commonwealth. The review should consider the effectiveness of the program to |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 4date and identify ways to make improvements to further facilitate the development of affordable |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 5renewable energy in the commonwealth. A report summarizing these findings and |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 6recommendations shall be submitted to the joint committee on telecommunications, utilities and |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 7energy, and the clerks of the house and senate no later than 12 months from the effective date of |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 8this legislation. |
