2626 An Act to reduce traffic fatalities.
2727 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2828 of the same, as follows:
2929 1 1 SECTION
3030 2 Said section 1 of said chapter 90, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by inserting
3131 3into the definition of “Vulnerable user” after the phrase “motorized bicycle” the word
3232 4“Snowmobile”, so as to read as follows:
3333 5 “Vulnerable user”,
3434 6 (i) a pedestrian, including a person actually engaged in work upon a
3535 7 way or upon utility facilities along a way or engaged in the provision of emergency
3636 8services
3737 9 within the way; or 2 of 2
3838 10 (ii) a person operating a bicycle, handcycle, tricycle, skateboard, roller skates, in-line
3939 11skates, non-motorized scooter, wheelchair, electric personal assistive mobility device, horse,
4040 12horse-drawn carriage, motorized bicycle, Snowmobile, motorized scooter or farm tractor or
4141 13similar vehicle designed primarily for farm use.
4242 14 10 SECTION 2. Section 1shall take effect on January 1, 2026.
